Amanda Thomas
Office Manager/Registered Dental Assistant
Amanda, originally from Little Rock, AR, has worked in the dental field for 25 years. She began working for Dr. Slaughter in January of 2006. She has played many roles in dentistry: sterilization tech, dental assistant, financial coordinator and office manager. Building relationships & friendships with patients is one of the things Amanda loves the most about working in dentistry. She is married to her husband, Kolby, and together they have 3 adult children. In her spare time, Amanda loves to run, travel and spend time with her 2 border collies, Zoey & Remington, as well as her cats and chickens.
Kelli Norris
RDH
Kelli has worked in the field of dental hygiene for over 25 years. She obtained her degree from the College of Southern Nevada and moved from the Las Vegas area to TX in 2017. Kelli is determined to provide the best possible care for her patients while giving them a positive and comfortable experience. Her passions outside the office include exercise, travel, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
Kasey Scott
Kasey brings over 15 years of dental experience to our practice. She was born & raised in Taylor, TX where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Bryan. They moved to Round Rock in 2013 to raise their two beautiful children Aly and Ty. When not driving her kids to sporting events, Kasey enjoys playing in adult sports leagues, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and French bulldog Piper.
Lori
Lori, a highly trained registered dental assistant with over 16 years of experience in the dental field. Patients love her gentle and compassionate bedside manner, making them feel comfortable during their dental visits. Lori’s skills and dedication don’t end at work. Coming from a big family, she is the 2nd youngest of eleven children! Family is everything to her, she cherishes every moment spent with her loved ones. When she’s not busy at the dental office or with her family, she enjoys taking her French bulldog, Duke, to the dog park and arranging play dates for him.
Monica
Monica, born and raised in Houston TX, has worked in the medical field for 7 years. After graduating from Texas State University she moved to Austin TX where she met and married her best friend, Jacob and together they have one child. She enjoys spending time with family, reading mystery books, traveling, and attending hockey games! GO STARS!
Dawn Walter
Dawn is a graduate of Colorado Northwestern, and she has been providing quality care for 25+ years. She says it’s an amazing opportunity to work alongside Dr. Slaughter and his team to provide the best dentistry she has ever seen. Dawn’s interest include reading, puzzles, gardening, hiking, and going to the movies. Dawn loves spending time with her husband, Jason and their four children.
Jack and Stephen
Jack
Jack was born in Elgin, Texas, on April 5, 2021. As a puppy, he was irresistibly cute with his big head and adorably frowny face. Over the years, Jack has grown into a handsome, laid-back boy who loves nothing more than lounging around—but he’s always up for an adventure when the opportunity arises.
Food is one of Jack’s greatest joys, and a trip to Dutch Bros. for a pup cup is his absolute favorite treat. He adores his brother, Stephen, and his mom is undoubtedly his favorite person in the world. Jack has even earned his Canine Good Citizen certification, showing that he’s not just good-looking—he’s well-mannered, too! Of all his activities, swimming tops the list as his favorite pastime.
Stephen
Stephen was born in Elgin, Texas, on December 29, 2021. From the moment he met Jack, it was instant love between the two brothers. Stephen is an energetic, athletic pup who lives for a good game of fetch—his all-time favorite activity. He’s tried his paw at dock diving, agility, and lure coursing, and even earned an AKC Fetch title!
Like his brother, Stephen enjoys swimming, food, and, of course, pup cups. Beneath his playful spirit, he has a tender, affectionate side and is remarkably attuned to human emotions—always ready with a snuggle when it’s needed most.
